Club Kit:

TVT places a bulk order for club kit once or twice a season.  The club is not big enough to keep stock of kit.  The order normally takes 6 weeks to be manufactured and returned.

We would like to make an order on Friday 24th October. We would also like to suggest that people bring their ‘clean’ kit to the Club Run / Social on the 7th October so that other people can see what is available, and also check sizing. The order will take about 6 weeks to be manufactured. We have 3 types of kit we order.

Cycling kit:

This is probably the most well known.  The cycling kit is very high quality, and looks great.  The cycle tops (road jersey) come in both short and long sleeve, with a mixture of zip lengths.

The cycle bottoms come in both bib versions and normal shorts.  Last time a number of us ordered the Lycra Bibshorts (4015) which meant that it came in TVT colours, and we had the printed u panel on then for an extra £3.  Looks great!  Obviously they cycle bottoms come with different pads for men and women.

The Gilet (4032) is an essential in your cycle kit, and also looks great after races.

There are a couple of choices of winter tops – the Training Top and the Jacket.  Both are extremely warm.

I also have a Premium Skinsuit (4024) that I use for time trials, the bike leg at the relays etc.  I ordered it with coloured shorts (blue) and red TVT u panel (at an extra cost).

There is the option to have TVT matching arm warmers (4020) if there are more than 5 orders.  This looks good with the short sleeve road jersey, or as arm warmers with tri kit when doing duathlons / or run vests for the cross-countries. 

Run vest:

A number of the people have the matching Run Vests (4044).  These are loose fitting Airtex type tops.  These are again good quality and look pimp.

There is also a specific ladies range – a Women’s Support Run Vest made from Lycra with a built in bra (4037) and hence are more of a tight fitting garment.  These could equally be used on duathlons etc.

Tri Kit:

New for this year is the tri kit.  A few of us have been racing in the kit this year – it works well – but is a snug fit around the waist – and I’m not fat! Also we needed to get the legs longer as it looked like hot pants!  I have the Pro Tri Suit (4055) with the following extras:

·          Coloured shorts (blue) and red TVT side panel.

·          Extra long legs (+ 7cm) (similar length as cycle shorts).

·          Rear pocket as two compartments, not three.

Kit sizing:

The kit comes in the following sizes.  I am not planning on getting any samples this time as I think we have a good selection of kit within the club – so it is easier to ask someone to bring it to a training session – or the Club Social on the 7^th October, than to get something from TAL.

Once you have made your order decision send the details to Sharkie.  You will need to be clear what you are ordering, along with any specific amendments (e.g. coloured bottoms, u panels etc).  For example, my last order was as follows:

As a club we cannot afford to have a club kit in stock waiting to be purchased.  Therefore when we do an order we need to collect the money in advance.  This we are doing on line through PayPal.  Once you have sent your order to me you will receive an email from joyce_tvt@btconnect.com

 with all the information required to make the payment through PayPal.  PayPal only issues should be addressed to joyce_tvt@btconnect.com   

The order will take about 6 weeks to be manufactured.

This kit order is being arranged by Sharkie, Jo and Joyce.  Please help us to organise the order as quickly and smoothly as possible.  It is very complicated behind the scenes.

Technical t-shirts:

Some of you may have seen a Derek, Joyce, Graham, Anna and Sharkie modelling blue ‘technical’ t-shirts with the white TVT oval printed on the front and back.

These are available from Howard Vine at Blade Printing Services, based in Spencer’s Wood.  These t-shirts once printed cost approx £19.  Best to check sizes before you order.  You can arrange to call in and see Howard ‘H’ Vine, or email sales@bladeprintingservices.co.uk

Howard is also the person to see if you want anything printed on your kit, whether it is your name, or a sponsor’s logo.

Winter cross-country races:

We have got to the point in the cross countries where we are now obliged to run in TVT kit.

This can be any piece of TVT kit with the appropriate logo, i.e. it does not have to be a run vest, it could be a cycle top, sleeveless cycle top, gilet, or tri kit; likewise it could be the t-shirts in blue which Howard Vine can print.  It is not our rules – unfortunately the rules of the organisers.
